What Are Sunflower Seeds?

Tonight, two milestones for E3:

1. During our customary Junior Trivial Pursuit card reading to pass the time at our favorite Pizza Hut, E3 was the FIRST to answer "What flower's seed can be roasted and eaten as a snack?" The first of many, I'm sure. I agreed with E3.

2. The second of her two front teeth was twisted and yanked from her gums by her own tiny little fingers...she lost the first front tooth last night by the same method. The Tooth Fairy totally should have spent the night last night. There was much rejoicing because it marked the end of much whining and complaining about how much she wanted those teeth OUT already. The highlight of last night's yank came about 15 minutes before the tooth popped out when E3 said, "OH YEAH. It's coming out tonight!" Tonight, after coming home from school with the tooth twisted sideways in her gums, and being unable to eat any pizza for dinner, when we got home from Pizza Hut she just gave me a look of steely determination as she grabbed a tissue and headed for the bathroom.

Personally, I'm just glad to get a break from seeing her wiggle and twist it and from listening to the squishy, clicking noise that results from the wiggling and twisting.

Pardon me while I succumb to a full-body shiver from squicked-outedness.
