I Don't Think That's How They're Using It

A few weeks ago, from across the room, I heard one of the girls* mentioned to my Mother-in-law that they had seen an ad on TV about something to keep a person from getting pregnant...

E?: You just squeeze it and then you can't get pregnant.

MIL: You'll have to ask your Mom about that.
Me: ??

I had no idea what she could be talking about...Pajama jeans, maybe?

~~~~~~~
Tonight, as I was getting ready to head out the door to meet Rob for dinner and PBR in St. Louis, TV going in the background, girl-child talking to me about something, she interrupted herself to point out the commercial on TV...
THAT'S the thing! See, you just squeeze it and it keeps you from getting pregnant.
It was a commercial for an IUD.
~~~~~~~~

Later, at dinner, I relayed the story to Rob...including how I explained that you don't just squeeze it - they squeeze it in the commercial...I guess...to show that it's flexible? But that it gets inserted into a woman's uterus to keep her from getting pregnant.

Rob: And she was okay with that? She didn't ask anything else?

Me: No. But can you imagine? Just give that little thing a squeeze and you don't get pregnant?

Rob: Right. Like an Easy Button.
