Buying Local

The guy at the bottling company slings these things around like they're nothing, and despite all those glass bottles he's not delicate at all. But all those filled glass bottles plus the wood case crate made me say "oof" when I lifted them out of the back of the van to carry into the house.
Locally made, less ingredients, AND an arm work-out. Win-win-win!

Hey Nancy: I'm a midwesterner by birth--Springfield, MO by way of Republic. But I grew up in Illinois to two parents who hailed from Clinton and Mt. Vernon.

Anyways, seeing those Nesbitt bottles of soda brought back memories of the country drug store my grandparents had in Humansville, MO. Thanks for those memories

Marti, I've been through your neck of the woods on our trips to Texas - the last time we detoured over to Mansfield to visit the Laura Ingalls Wilder home and museum.

The bottles are fun! They're only 10oz to I feel a bit virtuous getting my daily soda fix while saving those extra 2oz I'd get in a can.
