Tonight, while sitting at E2's play practice, I overheard a teen-age girl speaking to a group of teen-age girls:
Good news! Michael Jackson is dead! Young boys everywhere are safer!
Um....yeah. Talk about the difference in perspective a generation makes.

Ugh, couldn't she have saved that wisecrack for a few days.
My 12yo nephew sent Andrew an email that said something along the lines of "R.I.P. Michael Jackson. You were the king of pop." So, some kids *do* get the impact Michael Jackson made on music, and can appreciate that about him.
Wow! He did get a little weird at the end, but he was a great artist.
