Jury Duty Twilight Zone

Today I went to the county courthouse for jury duty. Less than an hour into proceedings I was dismissed as a juror…because they want to depose me as a possible witness.

I think it was almost five years ago that I happened by an accident where a girl had cut her arm in front of an apartment building. She’s suing the landlords estate. When I explained how I was familiar with the case I think the lawyers for both sides dropped a load in their pants. “We’ve been looking for you,” is what the one said.
