Today in a teen clothing store:
Me: "This is the first time I've worn these shoes and my dogs are barking."
Sales Girl: "Yeah, mine do that too. Like if I wear heels? They're just not used to it and they bark like crazy."
Rob says I'm showing my age using phrases like 'my dogs are barking'.
From the moment she said 'mine do that too' I was a bit confused, however... from the moment I clicked into what she was talking about - that her pets bark when she wears unfamiliar shoes - I had to work hard at not looking at the other worker behind the counter for fear I would snort with laughter.
