The Hoessle Herpetarium at the St Louis Zoo was built in 1927. Every time we visit I feel like we, as guests, are getting away with something. A secret that the rest of the world is missing.
One time, someone had scribbled a note and set it up against the glass of one of the gecko exhibits. It read, a la the Geico commercial: I think it would be cool if you had da gecko do da robot.
I love my zoo membership more with every visit.
