Back! With Photo Gifts!

I'm back, with a new wireless router to replace the one that was lording over our Internet connection like the Soup Nazi.
My kids? Gone camping with Grandma T and four other cousins.
I've got bedclothes in the wash, and while I should be doing a boatload of cleaning I'm running off to deliver some things to my sister and skip out for lunch at the same time. While the mice are away, the cat's gonna play!
I've got my vacation photos uploaded, but I'm waiting on a few others...remember film cameras? I used my last four rolls of color film while on vacation and any day now I'm expecting email notice that says "We've uploaded your photos!".
Until then, I have two photo souvenirs to share with friend-readers:
First, for my friend Glenda, we saw this on our way to lunch after the ALS Walk on Saturday. Glenda, if you ever make a visit to St. Louis...

I wonder if the bowlers dress like that?

And for Dana's penchant for flinging away the negative, we saw this in Mansfield, MO.:

A Trebuchet for Dana - I hope it's the right size!

The Tooth Fairy Comes Tonight

E1 lost her first something-or-other* molar tonight, while we were at the home of Rob's cousin the (former) dental hygienist and her husband the dental surgeon.

It's been bothering her for a couple of weeks now, and the gums above it were becoming irritated - so much so that she was periodically using Anbesol to help relieve the pain. If you've ever tasted Anbesol (the regular formula, not the junior or baby kind..although the junior and baby flavors are nasty too) you understand how desperate she was for pain relief.

I kept telling her that once it came out the pain would stop, but she continued to decline Rob's offers of assistance by pliers.

Tonight, when she mentioned that her tooth was looser than ever, I told her that K & D would be especially excited if she lost that tooth at their house. My suggestion that D had professional pliers experience was met with an eye roll.

Moments later, as she was helping clean up pool toys, she rushed over to show me the lost tooth. K & D did not disappoint in their enthusiasm over the lost tooth, as E1 showed off the lump of enamel.

Now she sleeps...will the tooth fairy find her tonight even if she's not in her own bed?

* D told us what molar it is, but I don't remember and I'm too lazy to Google it.

Stormy Weather

I wish that was what was causing our crappy internet connection.

Slower.

Than.

Dial-up.

Rob says we're turning off the computers when we go on vacation so they can think long and hard about their behavior.

It's been weeks since I've read all of my blogs in one day - and I don't have THAT many that I read. It's just so achingly slow to wait for a site to download...I walk away and come back 30 minutes later and it's often not finished downloading, OR there's an IE error.

I'm receiving emails, but the ones I send bounce back like rubber balls.

I mean, how am I supposed to be able to come here and share E3's theory of fart love (she farts on me because she loves me) with you all if I can't even get to my dashboard?

Walk

We're doing the ALS walk again this year!

However, since they re-located our usual September walk we will now be joining the walk in St. Louis later this month.

Late June in St. Louis. I may melt.

Won't you please consider contributing to our team?

Oh Hey, Look

Charter is giving me the service we're supposed to get, instead of pretending to be dial-up service. How unexpected.

Let me take a moment to make a list of things for later...

Cousin C's wedding - welcome back to the real world, C!

Day trip to Springfield, IL

Remember when I went to Memphis? I caught part of the movie The Firm last night and realized it was set in Memphis...I don't remember that from reading it but now I want to watch the whole thing so I can look for landmarks. In the meantime, I should post some of those pictures, right?

Also, I need to make a list for an upcoming summer road trip...okay let's be honest, it will be several lists.
